Has anyone had any experience with the swimming program at Macalester? Is the coaching staff good? Let me know the good, bad, and ugly.

Here are a couple blog posts from a Mac student athlete on the swim team.

My son is looking at Mac and is a swimmer. As a Mac alum, here is my take. Macalester’s swim team has had a stretch of down years, but is poised for growth. They have an amazing pool (quite new), a good young coaching staff, and a nice group of swimmers. Their team is small, but their coaches are recruiting and planning on growing the team. They swim in the MIAC against tough teams from St Olaf and Gustavus. It’s a good conference. It is definitely worth checking out.

Kenyon and Denison are a couple of schools you might also look at (DIII with good swimming programs).
