<p>You could certainly ask admission office to forward your application to Engineering for further review. I am not sure if doing so will forfeit your current decision should College of Engineering rejects your application. So ask first!</p>
<p>What engineering major do you have in mind? If you are into Electrical and Computer engineering, you can always start off as a CS major in LS and then transfer (internally) to Engineering after your first semester.</p>
