I was accepted to the LSOE, but I no longer have an interest in pursuing education and I would like to transfer into CAS. I was told that I would not be able to switch my freshmen year and that this would not slow me down in any way, but is there someone I should email or call to notify about my desire to transfer schools or do I wait until orientation? And if so, who should I contact to let them know about this switch?
I would e-mail your local admissions rep and inquire if a transfer into A&S is possible next year. (Darn near impossible to transfer into CSOM, for example.)

If is possible, then just make sure that you register for some A&S courses during orientation. (not all Educ courses count for A&S degrees.) Standard Frosh crosses are Writing/English and other Core requirements, assuming that you don’t have AP exemptions.
