Syracuse, NYIT or Parsons?

Hi! I am still in doubt as to which two of these three schools to apply to. My parents will only let me apply to 4 schools and I really want to narrow the list down and have at least one school that I might get in.

The doubt lines between: Syracuse University, New York Institute of Technology and Parsons. They are all in NY because I wanted to apply to at least one over there.

I am aware that Syracuse is supposed to be a really great school for architecture major, but I am worried that they won't accept me since it is so competitive. From collegeboard.com it has a 60% acceptance rate, which doesn't seem so harsh, but as it has been published in many 'ranks' for architecture as one of the best, I am assuming it must be really hard to get in their college.
Also, NYIT and Parsons, I don't really know much about these schools, NYIT doesn't seem so hard to get into, but I am afraid the program won't be challenging enough, and Parsons seems to be a great school but I haven't seen much reviews to whether it is good or not. So, what do you think?

Honestly, I wouldn’t bother with NYIT and Parsons if you’re limited to four schools. Syracuse is a great school, but for NYIT and Parsons you’re better off going to Pratt (same area, much better programs)

elasticbands, do your parents have a particular reason why you should apply to four schools? now days, school admission is really competitive. Could you talk to them and explain that you’ll have opportunities if you apply to more schools?

Parsons undergraduate degree is not a BArch, but a 4-yr pre-professional degree. The other 2 schools offer the BArch.

well personally, i’m applying to parsons and nyit and not syarcuse

for me, syracuse is wayyy to expensive
parsons, i recommend. i visited there and it was perfect for me. the architecture department was samll, about 25 students in all grades, but because of that, the teachers are not as busy as big schools. if you like the artsy vibe, parsons is the way to go.
about pratt, thats my third decision, right after parsons. this is mainly because its damn expensive. its around 55 thousand a year. otherwise its nice
and nyit, i recommend you dont apply there. if you check their standards for students, they are not really that impressive which is why this one is my safety

i hope this helps :]
