Syracuse Regular Decision Class of 2018

Why would someone go out of their way to ■■■■■ here?

People are silly.

Our family is trying to be very patient but the CUSE website does specifically state:

"Regular Decision Notification

Notification to transfer applicants, international students and applicants to a Discovery Program begins late-February. Notification to all other students who applied for Regular Decision begins late March and will continue through early April."

That is a pretty long time to wait from October 2013…but an Acceptance would be SO worth it…Continued Good Luck to ALL still waiting…

And waiting that long makes it difficult to plan for admitted student reception visits.

I am still going to count on this saturday to receive something. If we return and see that many people have posted about decisions, then we know that the second wave has gone through

Is getting into CAS and Economics B.S less competitive that getting into Whitman school of management. Do you guys think it is possible to start with Economics B.S my freshman year and then transfer to finance major. Would I take similar core requirements my freshman year?

patman95…Below is information from the Syracuse catalog for an internal transfer into Whitman. Good luck to you.
“Applicants must earn a 3.3 cumulative GPA and 24 credits at SU, including two of the following: ECN 203, MAT 183, MAT 221, MAT 284 (or equivalent substitutes). Additional applicants may be considered as spaces become available, beginning with the highest GPA. Students should visit the Whitman Undergraduate Office (SOM 215) for additional information and advising.”

patman95…Yes. In general Whitman is more competitive than CAS for first year admission. Again, good luck and hope we see you at Cuse in the fall!

I’m wondering who is more anxious to hear this decision, me or my dear son! I think it’s me!
It seems that the school would want to allow time for people to make travel arrangements to attend admitted students events.

I agree with you @HSCounselor2. There will be little time to make travel arrangements. Additionally it leaves little time to be able to process the information that comes in with the same depth that my D has been able to process all of her other offers. Things are so organized and attractive with all of her other options that I believe she is done waiting on Syracuse to make a decision. Considering the high price tag on this university, one would think they would have premium and efficient customer service.

FYI for everyone waiting… had coffee today with a friend who’s DS is also a senior. He is waiting for decisions from 7 top tier schools and doesn’t expect to hear from any of them till April 1st. He’s only heard from 1 school (back in early February) and it was a rejection letter. So it’s not just SU.

Wondering if it has something to do with the many problems people had with the common app when applying? :-/

Accepted for film in school of visual and performing arts!!

@JSchwartz15 Can’t tell if you’re joking or not lol. Congrats if you’re being serious

@JSchwartz15 When did you find out?

Did any receive HEOP information?

Soooo anyone else excited/stressing??

I got my decision email but when I click on the link it says “The database is temporarily unavailable. Please check back at a later time. We apologize for this technical difficulty and appreciate your patience.” did this happen to anyone else???

@daniellehorowitz yes! i’m excited. no stress. i don’t believe in that–because things will always be for the better. best of luck to you!!!

c’mon syracuse, i want my decision!

@sparks42 where are you from / what school did you apply to?
