Hey guys I got accepted Dec. 18 on my birthday and got my scholarship information along with it. After that terrible wait I’m still so excited to be heading to Syracuse next year.

-3.0 UW GPA (looks really bad, but I’ve been in all AP/honors classes throughout high school)
-27 ACT
-3 amazing essays that were revised
-great letter of recs from my AP Lang & an engineering teacher
-200 hours of volunteering, VP of two clubs and in 8 clubs total, did 2 sports in HS.
-did an interview and it went amazing
-kept in contact with admissions counselor

Quick question: there was no option to double major in CAS and VPA. Are we just going to have to arrange that when we get there if we wanna do that? Or is it just something that’s impossible to do?
I kinda wanted to major in Vocal Performance as well as Forensic Science. Is there anyone else who either has done that or wants to do something that?

@usuallysubtxt You can’t really do a dual major as an undergraduate with Forensics and Vocal Performance.
The undergraduate’s Forensics program follows the ILM program- which essentially is a dual program built within the major. You can choose between Anthropology, Biochemistry, Biology, Chemistry, Earth Sciences, Physics, Psychology, and Sociology.
You can perhaps minor in Vocal performances (if there is one) but with Forensics, you cannot dual with another program.
I emailed admissions, recruiter of CAS, and the head of the Forensics Office about the program regarding double major, major/minor. I was curious about double majoring in Forensics and Italian-- seeing if there are any exceptions but there isn’t really a way around it. You can only major/minor with another program that isn’t related to Forensics.

@gonwk103 As a student at Cuse, it’s very hard to take classes in VPA if you’re not a part of that school. There are few courses available to non-majors and many of them carry heavy fees. If you want to get involved in anything vocally, there are tons, I mean TONS of different choirs, choruses, and acapella groups around campus.

I have this strange feeling that we might bc I went on Twitter and searched SUbound and people that posted on Friday saying that they were accepted they responded to them today saying congrats when they also responded to a majority of those tweets on Friday when they were posted… And yesterday they were tweeting about regular decisions so idk why they wouldn’t respond back to those on Friday or yesterday when they came back to the office for the first time this week so I feel like it’s a “and there’s more congrats to come today” sorta thing but also I’m going insane waiting for these waves so I can be delusional as well 
maybe it’s both but I had a dream about acceptances last night and I think it was Tuesday in my dream but I can be wrong also tomorrow they’re gonna wanna get out of the office right away and begin their break and not deal with phone calls with people who saw their decision at 3 or 4 and stay on the phone with them post closing hours… This is just what I think anyways lol
