Hi everyone! I figured this should be a thread for any applicants who applied to Syracuse University and is hoping to get in through the HEOP program for Fall of 2018. Take us through your progress along the way.
Hi!!! I applied to Syracuse back in October and I hope to get in through HEOP. Cuse is my top choice.
Have you heard anything from the HEOP office?
Hi! @Natgomes1 I applied too and no I haven’t heard from them! I was wondering if anyone has had too
If you don’t mind me asking, what are your stats like?
Oh and I forgot to mention before, I didn’t hear back either @witchhazelrosemary
Hi, has anyone heard back yet?
One girl at my school heard back from heop I still haven’t heard anything wby?
My stats are 3.5 gpa but my SATS are low 990
The states online say that for HEOP the average is 80-84 and the director confirmed that for me. However, I have not heard back yet. What did they tell your friend? Did they ask her for more documents or did they request an interview? @witchhazelrosemary
I heard back yesterday!! @witchhazelrosemary
@Natgomes1 so good to hear lmk how your process goes. And I’ve known people who have a higher GPA than 85 and they still get into the program so Idk!
Btw what were your stats like?
I didn’t hear anything. I’m still filling out the Federal Income Verification Sheet. I was told my Gpa is too low but that there’s still a slight chance I can get in. I’m losing hope tbh.
Any acceptances for HEOP?
@snope99 did someone at Syracuse tell you your gpa was too low? Based on what they told you do you think 85 is too low?
I have been academically accepted and now they need to review my financial status. I will hear back in about 2 weeks I believe. My stats are as follows:
Gpa: 3.1
SAT: 1050
Extra curriculars: lots of them, such as cheer, summer law program, volunteer works, and clubs
Essay: very confident in it, also spent a lot of time on my other 2 writing supplements for cuse!
Hope this helps and good luck everyone!
@witchhazelrosemary @718flow @srope99
@Natgomes1 thanks for the info! When were you notified about your academic eligibility?
@718flow March 14th or 15th I believe!
