Straight A student, high GPA, play three varsity sports and and president of two clubs. I am applying for 11th grade to the two schools listed above. I got in the 65th percentile on the ssat.

What a coincidence dawg! I’m applying to Tabor Academy too, but I’m taking the PSAT and the score comes out in December. I was about to apply for 11th grade, but when I called them, they told me they don’t take as much Juniors, only 11-15 students, so I decided to retake my Sophomore year to better my chances.
I just finished my PSAT today so hope I did good on it lol.

I’d say you have a pretty good chance at Tabor (I’m a current senior).
They asked me during my interview if I would be applying as a repeat sophomore or a junior, and when I said repeat sophomore they basically accepted me right there on the spot (and I had lower grades than you, no varsity athletics, no leadership positions - I was 96th percentile ssat and legacy). If repeating sounds awful to you then don’t do it, but I’m extremely glad a repeated because spending 3 years has given me way more opportunities that I would not have had access to as a new junior.

tawsch and ksj37998, Thank you for the responses. Maybe I will see you both there next year. And do you know how many sophomores they accept versus the 11-15 juniors?

^each year we get around 20-25 new sophomores, I believe
