*I'm definitely retaking the SAT this October, but I'm not sure if I should retake the Chem. subject test (I know it's bad, but I don't intend to major [I intend to study a social science, either political science or international relations] in a science in college nor am I taking any more classes in the subject). I'm also open to suggestions for other schools.

any specific colleges to chance you for? :)

and with your Chem SATII, you should be fine because of your great Bio score - you’re covered when it comes to science.

have you taken any APs?

Oh! I thought I copied that in from my stats profile…but I guess I was wrong. The schools are:

UChicago
Brown
Wellesley
Bryn Mawr
Furman
Emory
University of SC (instate)

And I’ve taken 4 APs so far. I took AP Euro last year and scored a 5 on the exam. I haven’t received my scores for the three I took this year yet, and I’m taking 5 senior year.

Brown no. The standardized scores are too low.

U.Chicago? reach
Wellesley= reach
Bryn Mawr= reach/match
Furman= match
Emory= reach/match
U of SC= IN.

GPA and scores are a little low for the reach schools. Brown is a very big reach. Personally? Depending on money I’d go instate…or to one of the liberal arts colleges which would be a little easier to get into (not a TON easier, but a little easier).

mmkay…I do expect my GPA to go up a little I did pretty well this year (my lowest grade being a 93; and all but one of my courses have honors or AP weighting), and I plan to retake both the SAT (aiming for at least 700 on math and writing) and ACT…would that significantly increase my chances?

Also, how are my ECs? (…I think they’re pretty mediocre)
