Take a look at my AP classes schedule for next yr(11th grade)

Eng Language
CS II (advanced level of CS)
Calc AB

For science, I’m still pondering over chem vs. physics 1 (not physics C)

At my school, the counselor doesn’t recommend taking both at the same time as both are lab-based.
(However, maybe I can insist if it’s worth doing both…)
I’m not allowed to take Physics C as a jr as I wouldn’t be able to complete either Calc AB or Physics I until the end of jr year.
(One of them must be completed as a pre-req for Physics C)

Also, as a CS candidate for undergrad, I heard that I need Physics C, not Physics 1.

So… it all comes down to two scenarios

1 take Chem and then Physics C in sr year

2 take Physics 1 and then Physics C in sr year

What is your take?

If I were you I’d take AP physics 1 then Physics C. At our school, that’s how the sequence goes, however if you want to do something in the medical field/Chem engineering take Chem then Physics C

You need one year each, at any level (general, honors) of Biology, Chemistry, Physics. Odds are AP physics 1 would work best for a Junior, then AP Chem senior year if you want premed, physics C if you want Engineering, APES if you’re aiming for humanities and/or didn’t do well in AP physics1 and want to focus on humanities/social science APs.

Not an option for the OP, who states that AP Physics 1 is a prerequisite for Physics C, as it wisely is at most schools.

I agree with what @MYOS1634 said.
