I have a 1310, but my math score is low (only 590). I already registered, thinking I should take it again. Now I’m not so sure. I hate to waste the money I spent on it, but I can’t really take it again (SAT IIs and school work). Is it worth it?

Hmm... I think if you study doing the math equations in one of the SAT books it might be worth it. I talked to my g.c. and he said colleges usually take the highest verbal highest math, so even if your great v. score went down it would be worth taking it if your math went up a little. I think I'm taking SAT 2's in December on standby (hopefully), and then retake the SAT in January after intensive studying and bring my score up to the 1300 range.

Go ahead and try. If you're that worried, don't send the score to any colleges.

I felt the same way about my second time. My verbal score went down (I was afraid it would) but math went up by 220 (I made a mistake on the scantron the first time).

So..yeah, take it and study.
