Taking 3 Science Classes

Hey guys, I was wondering if taking math 32b, chem 153a, and physics 1b on the same quarter is wise? I mean can you take all three classes and perform decently by the end of the quarter? I just want to know if this is impossible or with diligence i can make this work, bc I'm trying to get my freakn classes done so I don't have to stay here for a 5th year. (chem major btw)

I’m taking 5 upper division math and physics courses this quarter, and have gotten to sleep at about midnight every day, and had time for fun. I’ve also gotten nearly perfect on my homeworks and had time for two clubs and two jobs. (I’ve done 5 science before, but not all upper div) So from experience, >3 science courses is possible.

weiss seems easy this q (from what we have learned thus far), so i think youre fine.

that isn’t 3 science classes so its definitely doable. 3 science classes is more like 153a, ls4 and mcdb 104.

^that is borderline insulting that you think that some lifesci/premed courses are more challenging than engineering calculus and physics. you should be shot on sight for your ignorance.

and yes thats totally doable.

^ challenging is not the point. problem sets for math and physics take way less time to do than spending hours upon hours reading and memorizing for life science courses. you should be shot.

Terra you have no idea what youre talking about.

-Pre-med.

^problem sets only take less time when you have the solutions manual, which in turn will hurt you when exam time comes

i guess it depends on the person then. for me, classes that require any sort of computational work are easy. but not bio.

also i’d like to point out that ucla doesn’t train out harvard MDs so just because you’re a premed doesn’t mean that u know what you’re doing.

terranoxic loves the whole “training out” MDs thing. He got it from Hardinger. must be some very cocky, arrogant person. and fyi harvard doesn’t accept the smartest applicants (see Affirm Action for more details) and it doesn’t produce the best doctors lol

UCLA Pre-Meds are the best.
Dont bag on them.
I might be one soon =D

What about math classes that don’t require computational work?
