<p>Are there any pros or cons to taking band as a 1 credit course vs paying a $25 course fee? My son is on the Presidential - so he won’t have to pay for the credit, but is there any downside to taking the class as a credit?</p>

<p>I know last year there was a syllabus for the class. There were deductions to your grade for tardiness, not being prepared etc. I don’t know how strict Dr. Hancock actually is on these infractions. </p>
<p>My S chose to pay the fee. It’s tax deductible and no chance of an adverse effect on his grade. His roommate also pays the fee rather than take it as a class.</p>
