Taking subject test procedures

Hi guys,
I'm taking my first SAT test next week (Dec 4.) and it is the Subject Test English Lit.
I've registered and printed my admission ticket, but I can't find any concrete information about the time I need to arrive and such. It says that I should be there by 7:45am, is that generally the time for all testing centers? Also, where should I find information if the testing center is open on the day of the exam (in case it snows and it closes). I can't seem to find any concrete information on the CollegeBoard website.

I would really appreciate the help as its my first time!

Test center closings: [SAT Test Center Closings](http://sat.collegeboard.com/register/sat-test-center-closings)

And yes, arrive at 7:45 unless otherwise stated on your admission ticket. Of course, arriving early won’t hurt.

Okay thanks a lot!
So does that mean the test starts at 8am?

It depends on the testing center. If it’s well-organized, you should be in the room beginning to fill out your information by 8 AM. If not (and this happened to me), it took until about 8:25 just to get put into a group and we didn’t get situated in the room until about 8:40. Testing really didn’t start until about 9.

So it depends. Be ready for anything (though starting an hour later shouldn’t affect you much, if at all).

For me, after everyone signs in, standbys are registered, late arrivals get to the test center, last minute things are taken care of, and everyone is settled, actual testing starts around 8:45-9:10am. For SAT Reasoning, it may take even longer!

Some rules to keep in mind for SAT Subject Tests:
-no calculators unless you’re taking one of the math tests
-no mechanical pencils: only no.2 wooden pencils
-nothing that’s electronic (besides calculator, obviously)
-no scrap paper shall be brought in to the testing center
-no cellphones/ipods (even if it’s just in your bag, not on you)

You might want to bring:
-an eraser, obviously
-a watch that doesn’t beep (useful)
-a water bottle (you must put this underneath your seat during testing)
-some snacks

You will be escorted to your pre-designated seat. After everyone has seated, the test administrator will begin reading instructions (long and boring, but listen if it’s your first time). Fill in the information as instructed (i.e. name, address, test center, test code, etc.). Testing will start when the administrator tells you to. If you’re taking more than one subject test, there will be a 5-10 min break in between (during which time you may leave the room for a bathroom/snack break).

Thanks so much, cleared everything up.
However, should I be getting a confirmation email of some sort from College Board or if I have the admission ticket (and my ID of course), am I good to go

^No confirmation e-mail. Admission ticket+ID should get you in.
