This might sound like a rather basic question but if someone decides to decline a school and a therefore any talent award… Do most schools offer that money to the next person in line or does it just go back into a common fund?
It probably depends where the money came from in the first place (general music fund, specific scholarship for instrument type, academic achievement in LAC). I don’t think it automatically would go to the next best player, especially if player #2 has already received an offer and package. It would also depend on whether the award was pure merit or “merit based, need informed”.
