Talking about job in essay?

I have to write an essay for Georgetown for this prompt:

In the space available discuss the significance to you of the school or summer activity in which you have been most involved.

However, I already have an essay on my job. Do you think it would be okay to discuss the significance of my job (the actual work I'm doing, rather than the paycheck)?

What is the actual work you’re doing?

It all depends if you feel that talking about your job addresses the prompt completely.

I just wasn’t sure if talking about my job as a child-care worker qualified as as “school or summer activity.” I take care of two to three year olds.

I would lean towards the actual work you are doing.

Meh… My essay is about the actual work I’m doing. It mentions nothing about the pay check. ** I just wasn’t sure if talking about my job as a child-care worker qualified as as "school or summer activity. **

I talked about an activity out of scope of the school and summer (an activity that’s like a job; I do contract work and own a few online organizations). I mean, I participated during the summer, right? You’ll be fine.

Don’t talk about the same activity in 2 different essays unless you are showing completely different aspects. You are missing an opportunity to talk about something entirely different and showcase other parts of your application.

Well, I already submitted my essay, but just to clarify:

I had already written an essay about my job FOR ANOTHER APPLICATION. I was wondering if it would be okay to use that essay for this prompt, as I was wondering if my job qualified as a summer/school activity.

Ahhh. Of course you can use the other essay or modify it as needed to fit the prompt. If you did this activity in the summer then yes, it qualifies as a summer activity. I imagine that it could be the main thing you were doing in the summer.
