Tau Beta Pi top 1/8th GPA

Hi I'm and engineer in Junior standing starting this quarter and my gpa is 3.7. Is that enough to qualify for Tau Beta Pi? How do I know if I'm eligible for Tau Beta Pi?

They’ll contact you if you are. You can check the list outside the ESUC lounge on the 5th floor of engineering. Candidates have had their orientation for this quarter, I’d email their president if you think you qualify. I’m not an expert here, wait for MadeinChina to reply

Whong09 - In order to determine eligibility, we review the top students (with junior standing) one quarter before the initiation quarter. Since you just obtained the junior standing status this quarter, you will not be eligible until the next initiation phase (Fall’10). You will receive an email if you do qualify.

Your eligibility depends on the GPA of the junior standing class and not on your individual GPA. It’s hard to be certain which GPA qualifies and which does not.

Hope that answers your questions. Good luck!

Thanks MadeInChina. Since you seem to represent Tau Beta Pi, could you tell me what the gpa cut off was for this quarter? I know gpas may vary by quarter but it’d be nice to know if I’m even close.
