I lived in the dorms for two years. For the past two years, I received a FORM 1098-T (official name??) in my dorm mail box. But now I live in an apartment.

I believe the form is for determining federal tax benefits, but I am not completely sure.

What should I do to ensure that they send the form to my hometown (san francisco). I don't want it sent to my apartment, but would prefer it sent directly to my parents.

I checked bearfacts, and it seems my address on file is my old dorm address. I guess I need to change that to my apartment address, but I fear they will send the 1098-T form to me instead of my parents.

Help?

Previously forms say I can contact the TRA Coordinator (192 University Hall, Berkeley CA 94720). 510-643-1487.

Before I do that, does anyone have any pasy experience regarding situations similar to my own?

Also, does anyone know what all these forms are supposed to be for?

Thanks
