I've been accepted to both but not sure which one I should attend. I know financially tcnj would be much less of a burden on my family. I want to double major in pol.sci and econ.

I know both schools have great academic reputations, but...

hey! I'm a freshman that was accepted ed to tcnj and i am also planning on majoring in poli sci! But to answer your question before I applied ed to TCNJ I considered withdrawing my application to going regular decision, so I could apply to Villanova as well. Honestly, with my stats I knew that I would have gotten into Villanova but, like yourself, I knew that it would have been an economic burden esp. during these times. Although Villanova has a longer history than TCNJ the students that I stayed with on an overnight said that TCNJ is right on par with Villa in terms of quality and academics. Only Villa costs more money and has a little more name recognition. I believe that I made the right decision and I honestly wasn't sure if I would like Villa that much. But that is just me. Basically, it's up to you and that's just my take. Which one are you leaning towards now and why?

I would say to go with TCNJ because it is basically equal to Nova in academics, and Villanova isn't really THAT well known that it would make much of a difference. It's better to save the money now for later when you could put it to better use.

I would advise visiting the campuses, I've seen both and they're very different, as are the "experiences" at each. Nova is much more spiritual and religious if that's what you like. See which one fits you the best!!
