I am a junior transfer international student. I got into those schools. TCU gimme $32500 (full tuition and fee) for 3 years. SMU gimme 20k/their 40k tuition and fee. Tulane gimme 18k/ their 42k tuition and fee.

I wanna major in Finance and Accounting.
I am leaning toward TCU right now, but don't know if I should still consider those other offers?

(also accepted into UC Irvine school of business, waiting for UCB, UCLA, and Dickinson college, the UCs probably won't gimme anything)

I appreciate any idea on this. Since I am an international student, the cost is actually important for me.

FYI –> TCU only gave tuition, so any fees like housing/food are not included there. I know right now there is a bit of a housing shortage for junior/senior housing, so I would contact your admissions rep and ask them about that. You may need to find off campus housing, which can be a bit complicated. However, the Neeley School of Business is quickly rising in the ranks.

Run the numbers, and see if there is enough of a difference to affect your choice: [FinAid | Calculators | Award Letter Comparison Tool](<a href=“Your Guide for College Financial Aid - Finaid”>Award Letter Requirements - Finaid)

thanks :).

Any more comments about comparing those 3 schools?

You say the cost is important to you…so this is a no brainer: TCU gave you the most money and has a good business program. Go to USD.
If money was not an issue, i would choose Tulane.

SMU is a far better school than the others listed. First, TCU is only ranked 100 in the nation so it should not even make the list. SMU is the same school as TCU but smarter, more cultured, and in a far more exciting city. Tulane is not nearly as well regarded in their business programs as SMU. SMU is also in Dallas which has far more business opportunities than Fort Worth or New Orleans. SMU’s campus is also clearly the most attractive out of the three and the dorms are very nice. By running a simple cost-benefit analysis in addition to noting which school offers a better college experience, SMU is the clear winner.

Is SMU that much stronger than TCU ?

Yes, I have heard this even from the dean of another elite private school in Texas who used to work at TCU. He told my son SMU is the best school of the all the schools on his plate. He told him if you ending up getting into SMU, definitely attend SMU over TCU. Obviously, SMU is much harder to get into than TCU too. SMU has higher stats too. Another good thing about SMU is that it has a smaller undergraduate class which means smaller classes. That is a huge plus.

Oh another note, my son did not apply to Tulane because he was advised it was a heavily drinking/party school and very unsafe. So SMU is the winner.
