I am trying to screen who gives me the best evaluation letter. Should I see the evaluaton after they write and see which is best one of all. Thanks

It is better to waive. The colleges will you know if you waived or not. Not waiving means you saw it and that there was a possibility of you affecting the honesty of the recommendation.

I agree. We didn’t have a choice. They were sent directly to the colleges.

Waive. No arguments there.

Yale explicitly said that they want all their applicants to waive the right. Other schools might feel the same way.

Waive. That way your teacher doesn’t feel the need to make it dishonest, and colleges will know that you didn’t see it.

You must be given the choice, its a Federal law.
The teacher has the right to turn down writing a recommendation because of that though.

Back on topic:
That said, I’d still suggest waiving the right unless theres a specific extenuating circumstance you’re not mentioning.
