Teacher Recommendation Dilemma

I have two really great social studies teachers that I really love, but since I'm probably going to go into a science field I can only ask one of them for the common app. Would it be worthwhile to ask the other for a supplement? (Both of them know me really well and will write great recs) I don't want to offend either one by not asking one of them, but I don't know exactly how much more it will add to my application... don't colleges hate extra paperwork?

Help/advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks :)

Bump please.

I don't think you'll offend anyone...

If they are going to say the same thing in a rec, then just ask one. They wouldn't mind.

Why not ask one to recommend you to some of your colleges, and the other to recommend you to the others?

it's not like you're required to ask them right? you'll prob. save them a lot of time by not asking anyway.

AT thios time of year, the teacher you don't ask may thank you. And I wouldn't send in an additional receommendation. Schools don't get off on additional recs above and beyond what is required.
