I'm going to be applying to Penn and Princeton, and am wondering about everyone's thoughts on teacher recommendation letters. I know you are supposed to select the teachers that "like you" the most to write them. I've narrowed it down to a few of my teachers, including my AP Bio, AP English, and Spanish 3 teachers. Which two would be more impressive?

I don’t think the subject matters. Which teacher knows your work ethic the best? How long has the teacher known you? Have you worked outside of the classroom with a particular teacher? There really isn’t a strategy here - the teacher who knows you the best is the one to ask.

It is also advisable to request for one recommendation from either science/math and then, the other from either humanities/english/arts

It honestly won’t make a difference which teachers you use as long as they know you well and like you.
