Teacher Recs

How important are they and how do you know who to ask to write a strong rec? What gives a teacher a great impression of you like "wow, this is one of the best (not necesarrily academically, but more curiosity/effort/enthusiasm aout the subject) students I have had in my teaching career. how do u tell if a teacher likes you and will proably write a great rec for you?

Recommendations should be written by teachers who know you best, and who have a favorable impression of you. I'm sure that with a little thought, you can think of teachers who meet these criteria.

This is something that entering high school students should learn early on. Students who simply go through the motions of a class should not expect stellar recommendations. If students want teachers to comment on certain characteristics such as curiosity and enthusiasm, they should demonstrate such characteristics in class.
