<p>The son of my friend (ABC) dropped out of a state school two years ago and went to Northern China to teach English at an high school. Yes, there are jobs out there. Just a matter of looking for it. You may need to have people lead you to these opportunities.</p>
<p>You don’t need to teach in China to demonstrate interest. You can do a number of other things. Start a club in your school or community, get involved with the local Chinese community, participate in some language development opportunities outside of your high school, etc. Instead of trying to teach in China, perhaps you can go there to take a class or two yourself. </p>
<p>Any of those things will demonstrate an above average interest.</p>
