Am considering doing this - not for the AP exam or anything, just so that I know I know how to code. Took a simple java course last year to fulfill my tech credit - it was easy and boring and I don't remember a bit of it. So, my questions are as follows:
1) Is this feasible?
2) What language is most useful, especially for use in the sciences (bio, biomed)?
3) Any sites you'd recommend?

Play around a bit and see which one you like best. People usually start off with C++ and branch off to others for fun, from what I hear from newbie programmers. ;)

Really? Different people, different experiences. :) But sure, I don't wanna mislead anyone, so listen to everyone replying. But I think it's pretty common for C++ to be considered most useful.

C++ is useful(my best language) but it isn't very useful unless you know the language pretty well. You might want to learn C++ and Java at same time. C++ for the nitty gritty, java because you can experiment w/ higher level concepts earlier on.
