Telluride Assocation Summer Program (TASP) 2014

I still haven’t been contacted yet either.

I wouldn’t worry too much about it though! I looked at the TASP 2013 forum and some people were contacted a lot later than others.

Any info on how the interviews panned out?

Been contacted for a Skype interview. Does anyone have experience with interviews that are not in person?

Hi, I’m brand new to CC so bear with me. I got called for an interview with House members at Cornell and I’m freaking out. How are people getting ready for this??

@mikejoo I don’t think you can access them, unfortunately.

@PalmtopTiger
Yikes, a panel interview! Good luck. How close do you live to Cornell?

@PalmtopTiger and everyone else
i just found out how to view the application! you go to the applyweb website, link: https://www.applyweb.com/apply/corntell/instruct.html</a></p>

and then you log in and view your application!

@fizzysoda wow amazing cant believe that there are so many Koreans who got in =) What school do u go to?

Do you guys think, for the teacher evaluation, it would be better to get one from the vp of the school who knows me for my EC’s or from a teacher I haven’t had but knows me from my EC’s. The teacher will probably be more flexible with what to write, but I don’t know if a letter from the VP will have more weight

Still no scheduling email, ugh I just want to do my interview before I get too nervous!

I’m interested in applying next year. Can someone give me an overview of what the application includes? I apologize if it has already been mentioned before.

Rejected……no hard feelings…worth a try.

I would love to hear more from anyone who got their interviews already!

@6alibah: the app includes a bunch of stuff, including school and personal information. the biggest/most important part of the app by far are the essays. there are technically 5 essay prompts, but i’d say only 4 of those are written like real essays. the prompts might vary slightly in wording from year to year, but they almost always include: a critical analysis of a book/film/poem/etc., a problem or topic of personal importance to you, a conflict you’ve experienced and how you resolved it, a discussion of your educational and career goals, and a list of books you’ve read both in and out of school during the year. here’s some more general info: http://www.tellurideassociation.org/programs/high_school_students/tasp/tasp_apply.html</a></p>

also, i’ve been noticing a lot of stress both here and on tumblr about interviews. i just wanna let you guys know that you shouldn’t be toooo worried about not being contacted for an interview at this point! last year i wasn’t even contacted about my tass interview until late-ish april.

Thank you!

Silence… Any one had the interview…? :blush:

I have my interview tomorrow and I’m super nervous! I have two interviewers too, so I’m not sure how that’s going to work out…

How did it go?

Hey, I am new here! I am a finalist for the 2014 program, and I had a pretty pleasant interview today. :slight_smile: It will be fun to see how things turn out!
