^as was already posted.

I saw that. However, I’m interested in knowing from where it was gathered.

It’s from previous year’s applicants.

You can actually get the app itself online. google TASP applyweb. Make yourself an account and you can access the whole thing.

Would that be frowned upon by Telluride though? I don’t want to do anything that will hurt my chances. ;)

I don’t think you have to register in order to view the application, although I may be wrong… in any case, the essay topics don’t change from year to year, that I know of.

Keil is right, as usual. I remember finding a .pdf application somewhere back in my day.

And I can’t think of a reason why starting your application insanely early would be frowned on by Telluride. I’m not sure if they’d be able to tell when you start anyway.

For any1 that cares here is the link:

@silverturtle–it’s good to see you too.
I personally think the SAT forum is officially boring now b/c of ppl’s repetitive arguments especially those of the PSAT’s. I’ve decided to “spread my wings.”

I only asked because raiderade said that registration was required, but since this is not the case my question can be disregarded.

i kno usually there is a critical analysis of a literary work type essay on the app. wat exactly are they looking for? they said not to focus on literary devices, so should we analyze the work’s influence on the world, its message…? for tass we had to discuss a passage that made an impact on us and explain why, but im not quite sure how the two prompts are different.

^We have to stick to a point discussed in the book and argue about it, according to the website.

I’m so excited to apply. Does anybody else think the Cornell II topic sounds kind of awesome?

No Cornell II for me. That seems terribly uninteresting, but that’s probably because I’m not a huge fan of history that isn’t strictly political/social.

Are the chances of being accepted to TASP affected if one is applying from the same school the year after someone went?

Lies. (;
UMich is definitely the most legit TASP.

Not at all. There are some private schools that tend to be TASP feeders because their educational philosophies mesh really well with TA’s. Some have had several TASPers over the past few years, occasionally even more than one per year. There are also many alumni who push TASP in their schools and sometimes yield an admit as a result.

In general, you’ll have a good mix of people whose schools range from never having heard of TASP to understanding what it is but never having sent anyone to being veterans of TASP acceptances.

In your inferior vernacular: UMich ploughs. That is all.

Is TASP for people for have completed their sophomore/junior year, or for students who have completed their junior/senior year?

TASP is for individuals who have completed their junior year of high school meaning that you will apply in eleventh grade and attend (if accepted) during the summer between 11th and 12th grade.
