Has anyone gotten financial aid info yet? Son was looking at his portal and it shows costs, but no aid package (only really expecting the $5500 loans). But it also isn’t showing the scholarship he was offered. Anyone else seeing aid and/or scholarships showing in financial aid tab of the portal?
The financial aid is in the official acceptance letter. My official acceptance letter was posted to the portal about 3 or 4 days after I was accepted.
Only merit is in the letter not financial aid.
Financial aid award letters will go out in mid February. Merit scholarships are included in the admissions letter.
Yes, he did get his scholarship info in his acceptance letter back in December. The other day we paid his deposits, and there were several next steps that came up the following day. One of them was “accept your financial award”. On the actual portal, when he opens the costs and aid tab, all that shows are the costs. His scholarship doesn’t show and no other aid, like loans show either. I’m wondering if nothing shows because they haven’t done FA yet, or if there is some kind of glitch. I thought at least his scholarship would show on this tab. Does anyone see any scholarships or aid posted on the actual portal tab, not just the acceptance letter?
They probably put it in all at once after they finalize the award letters. My FA portal doesn’t include any scholarships, grants, or loans either. In fact, it leads me to an error page most of the time lol
Does anyone know if all scholarship offers are completed?
Were honors program decisions already released?
Does anyone know around what time (maybe according to last years decisions) did people hear back from waitlist? I
@mayaaaad from last year’s threads, I think it was around mid to late March that some people who had been put on hold first started hearing they’d been accepted or were officially wait listed. Of those who were wait listed, some were accepted around early April, others not until summer. I think about half the people who go on the wait list will get accepted.
Anyone know how long the Temple Option short answer questions are?
@ts2019 At an info session on campus for prospective applicants, they said about 150 words. You can google Temple Option essays and get (a little ) more info.
Daughter does not have great stats.
Applied on 11/20
1020 SAT and 3.092 GPA
We are still waiting to hear back. Should we call to inquire or sit tight?
We know it’s a long shot but she applied to the Film and Media Arts because she’s passionate about making films, and so her essay was pretty strong on this topic.
But it’s been over 10 weeks now and we wonder what is going on.
If they weren’t interested, would they have told us already?
Her best friend who applied 12/15 (3 weeks later) got accepted so it’s tough for her…
We would love some feedback…
@livismom my daughter is in a similar boat, having had several friends accepted while she was put “on hold”. She applied early action. She also knows kids who were declined, so I tend to think no news is still good news! Your daughter could follow up in an email to her admissions counselor and maybe have first semester grades sent if they’ll help. 10+ weeks does not seem out of the realm for a response from what I’ve seen. It probably also depends on her major. Good luck to her.
You should call!
Applied on 10/23.
Still havn’t received decision, not sure what’s taking so long.
@NickAlter4 in December you posted that you are on hold. That’s a decision. Don’t plan on hearing anything else until probably March or later. Your post falsely implies you haven’t heard back since you applied.
Accepted!

Hoping for some fin. aid
Haven’t received a formal letter yet but I found out how much aid I’m getting through the TUportal (costs and aid tab > student financial services box > need to submit > Federal financial aid terms)
