Okay so I really want to get into temple University. The last months I have been trying to do well on my ACT/SAT, but I guess standardized tests aren’t my thing(I studied for ACT, everyday for 2hr for 6 weeks) given the fact that I feel as though these tests don’t represent me as a student, I am tempted to go for the test optional app.
GPA: 88/100 3.5W
(my parents divorced and my mom is bipolar which explains why gpa was low [85] during freshman year)
I’ve taken AP psychology, AP French, Honors English, Honors History II
My rank is 210/800, top 20% (rank is unweighted btw)
Some of my ECs are
Pres of church youth group
Secretary of Human rights advocacy club
Summer inter at Non profit
Tutor/peer mentor for 4yrs of high school
Published Poem writter in my high school’s art magazine
Pre med club member.
My letters of Rec are from
- counselor
- AP psych teacher (has known me for 2 years)
- AP French teacher (has known me for 2 years)
Because of my writing background I am confident in
my writing skills and my essays (I am aware for temple decision we need to answer questions)
I am going for a major in the liberal arts school.
I am open to any college suggestions aside from temple (preferably on the northeast states [i am from NJ btw :)])
Any advice/criticism will be kindly accepted
Thank you,
