I realize this topic has been discussed countless times but I couldn’t find a thread based on my major.
I got accepted from both. I recieved a $18.000 scholarship from Temple and $44.000 from Drexel.
I’m honestly not a huge fan of the Co-op Drexel offers since it means I wont be able to visit home during the summer. (I’m an international student) But it isn’t a deal-breaker.
Can anyone make specific points which demonstrates why one is better than the other?
well, post on Drexel’s page too. i think less people are on CC now because many have already made a decision. i think there is a Temple Facebook class of 2019 if you want to join. maybe Drexel has a similar page. you might get some better information there. i do not know enough about polysci at either school to intelligently respond and i am guessing the costs are close given your scholarship amounts. both schools are an easy subway ride to center city philly if you wanted to do any career related internships in center city. Drexel should be walking distance from the main train station if you wanted to travel to DC, NYC, or Baltimore so that is one advantage. But you can also take the subway from Temple to get to the train station, which is about 30 minutes by subway. that is under $2 a token if you buy a bag of at least 10 tokens.
My overall impression is that Temple is stronger for general liberal arts, whereas Drexel’s focus has traditionally been more pre-professional. I would lean toward Temple for Poli. Sci., therefore.
