Hi, I’m an American 16 year old tennis player that is currently living/training/studying in Russia. I would like to know what the requirements are for getting a tennis scholarship and what will expenses it will cover. And when am I supposed to send in my application (video, results, SAT scores)? The US has 12 years of school and I would normally start sending in my application in year 10, but in Russia you have to be in school for 11 years. I am currently in 10th grade in my Russian school. Any ideas?
If you haven’t done so already, start talking to college coaches! That’s who you want to send your videos, results, etc. to because they will be the ones giving you and athletic scholarship. Also they will be able to tell you what type of scholarships they offer and when you should be applying to their university. Good luck!
Thank you!!!
If you are 16 and in 10th grade, that is similar to USA. 17, Junior year is when you start looking, over summer(NEXT summer, you would start EA applications and finish before 1/1/17 for college apps.
