Terrible curve for Math 2?

I have the 07-08 edition of the princeton review SAT Math 1&2 subject tests prep book and I think theres a typo (either that, or the curve is just terrible!). Typically with the math 2 section, one can miss several problems and still pull an 800. However, the chart in the PR book goes like this:

PR Raw Score --> Scaled Score
50-->800
49-->780
48-->770
47-->760
46-->740 and etc etc

But then in my CB book with real past SAT II tests, the scale goes like this:
50-->800
49-->800
48-->800
47-->800
46-->800
and only at 42 does it hit 790!

So, is it a typo in the PR book, or will the new curves just be a lot tougher? Oh and just to clairfy, I double-checked that I was indeed looking at the correct scaled score conversion table (so no, its not the math I test chart that I'm looking at...)

OK, thanks!

i took the math II subject test in november, left 4 blank and i don't know how many i ended up missing, but i got an 800, and so that couldn't have been a raw score of more than 46? and it seems absurd that they would randomly change the curve, so PR is probably just wrong.

OK - I guessed as much but juuuust wanted to make sure :). Thanks!

PR is definitely wrong. unlike math I, Math II has a really generous curve. you can miss about 4 questions and still get a perfect!
