my harvard interviewer asked me for my stats. it's part of the procedure since they actually require the interview, not "recommend" it.

my harvard interviewer asked me for my stats too...

Same with me for Harvard. I think my Yale interview went really well...I think the interviewer and I had a lot in common, which helped. It lasted about an hour.

my yale interview went super well as i talked with him for an hour and a half. my harvard interview really sucked. the guy constantly asked me about science and the research i had done. he didn't really seem to care that i came from korea last year or the fact that i had lived alone for some time every year. I told him about hisenburg, hawkings, and another book to show that i wasn't an idiot. But the focus of the interivew was really looking at the sheet and asking me about awards. It lasted 15 minutes. oh boy what a bad interivew.

hotpiece, I still don't understand. Harvard should have our stats on our application. WHY would they want it again from the interviewer??!!

I didn't know it was a required interview...I'm just accepting any interview that any school offers. I thought it was strongly recommended?! Says in the blue college handbook?

imiracle, same here: "my yale interview went super well as i talked with him for an hour and a half. my harvard interview really sucked." that sums it up.

except that my havard interviewer REALLY cared about that i came from china SEVEN years ago and didn't care about any of my extracurricular activities on my resume. i told him about a book too, which made me look an idiot, i think? i dunno. o god, the substance of my harvard interview was definitely a 15-minute ordeal-if you compress it. it lasted 40 minutes more only cuz i try to ask some questions, none of which he answered to my satisfaction(i think vice versa!)

I'm starting to think that Yale might be a better fit for me. It might be a perfect fit.

i have no idea why he asked me my stats. the first question was like "What is your GPA and/or class rank?" Then he asked me about test scores etc. i thought it was weird that he focused on stats too.
