TEST OPTIONAL COLLEGE/ college of holy cross

Quite often,I hear that test optional college do not need SAT score to determine acceptance. however, i wanted to know that does it affect acceptance in any case. i mean if i do not submit score does that mean there may b less chance of me getting accepted than the one who submitted test scores?
I am applying College of Holy Cross ED 1 and i m international!!!!!

No it will not negatively affect your application but it will raise the importance of the other items since there will be fewer criteria to evaluate. Class rank, class selection, teacher recommendations all will be viewed carefully. Your chances are best if you are in the top ten percent of your class.

Choosing not to submit your SAT I’s or ACTs truly does not affect your chances of admission. We are much more focused on your transcript into senior year, your writing samples, and personals. Please note, however, as an international student, you must submit a TOEFL for your application to be complete. If you have studied at an English-speaking school for all four years of high school, the TOEFL will be waived, but you need to indicate that to us when you apply.
