Honestly what is wrong with test prep books.
I see grammatical and typographical errors on like every other page in my AP chem book. It's like they didn't even proofread. And the tests are soo different than SAT/AP tests...I've taken SATs, SATIIs, and APs, and used prep books for some but they SUCK like asdjfk;lkjfda. And i bought a Kaplan SAT book that supposedly has 12 tests but in reality has like 3 because they repeat the same test like 4 times. And everything that I've ever done in test-prep books are like a million times harder and more confusing and DIFFERENT than the real thing.

What a waste of money. I stopped buying them a long time ago. I just got one for AP chem because i don't take the class. Just get the collegeboard published books and thats it...unless you want to get frustrated and want to chuck the book at someone. But you'll always be surprised at the score you get since they are so different.

the worst was for AP US...not only were there typos....some answers for the practice test were wrong, according to my teacher, and even worse I came across one question which was only half written.

It had the questions and then answers A-D....then all E said was: "given"!!!!!
and E was the correct answer acccording to the book

^yeah i didn't use anything for APUSH but i know a LOT of questions I've came up with are like that

it would be like

blahblahblah
a) 1
b) 2
e) 3

and the answer would be A and the "explanation" would be Because 2 is the correct answer

@#$%

Oh yeah and those "ALL answers EXPLAINED" books are retarded as well...their definition of an "explained answer" is just repeating the question. Like, A is correct because repeats what A said is the right answer. How's that for an explanation?!

It is quite confusing that I find test on prep books quite easy but the real one pretty hard. The blue book may match the real level but why it doesn't have answer explanations? Frustrated!

Yes, some prep books are just crap. You need to make sure you ask around before buying anything.
