How much does Skidmore value their test scores? I have an alumna interview and she said admissions uses their test score average as a benchmark to sift through the applications. I am applying RD to Skidmore and am disappointed that they are not test optional. At this point Skidmore is a reach for me with a 3.5 weighted GPA and a dismal 23 on the ACTs. With a solid EC list and an okay GPA do I still have a chance?

I’m kind of the same way…I’m nervous but I love Skidmore so much so I hope they see that. I have a 3.3 and i got a 26 on the ACTS. I do think I have a chance though, same to you

I believe Skidmore definitely puts less stress on test scores than it does on GPA and rigor of secondary school record. So, I wouldn’t stress too much over it.
Skidmore is a liberal arts and a place where "Creative Thought Matters"after all. Just show your interest.

Duckie’s right. I have a couple of friends who had terrible SAT/ACT scores, but still got accepted and attend. Skidmore’s much more interested in your GPA, extracurriculars and essays. So, don’t only show your interest, but show your personality. :)
