Hey guys. I plan on submitting two ACT scores for Yale. One is a 31 composite with a 10 writing and the other is a 30 with a 12 writing. Someone on CC originally told me that no adcom would consider a composite score on one test with a writing score on another. However, I asked my regional ad rep. and she said that Yale WILL consider the composite and writing scores from different tests. I only wonder if she knew exactly what I was talking about. Anyone had any experience with this?

I was told that they look at everything you submit and will count your highest from different tests... so i guess that means they would count your 31 from the first test and the 12 writing from the second

Looking at your chances thread, if your math score on the SAT has improved/will improve, I wouldn't necessarily submit that ACT.

Do you realize that you are ignoring an imployee of the school and asking a bunch of kids who have no affiliation with the admissions office at all. Don't use College Confidential as a the source for your own research. What gives any of us more knowledge than the people at Yale, lol

Yeah you're right. I just wasn't sure if I explained it to the rep clearly over the email.

do they take the highest subscores from SATs? if so, I'll submit both the ACT and the SAT.
