Is there a list for the new sat in march?

Don't think so yet, I am curious to find it myself. I am sure they will not release it at the same sight because it has been publicly released

bump...........

Don't waste yopur time. If you don't already know all the words on the Testmasters list, you'll probably have trouble filling in your name.

i heard on one of the threads in this forum that testmasters WILL NOT release a list for the march 2005 test but will do it for all the other tests after it
what strikes me is that how can they get 99% accuracy on their word lists
that is insane
they have to have some inside sources i mean that is almost impossible unless ur the test maker urself

bump.........anyone know for sure if there is a list or not?

The list never actually covers 99% of words. In fact, I don't think it's even 10%...

khalid is right. I compared the last SAT I took with the December list and it was not even 5% it seemed like. Possibly just me, but I doubt it.

i compared testmasters with jan. test.... all the words were on it... no exceptions! it was great but i heard that the other version of the sat had no testmasters vocab...i was really suprised by its accuracy though

January testmasters list was pretty good. The words were accurate.
One question though, if you don't live in texas then can you still take the elaborate SAT prep course OR do you have to take that condensed one-weekend course ? Has anybody taken the testmasters SAT prep course online or any other cities besides Texas ?

the testmasters list is more or less a hit or miss list. They make the lists based on patterns that they detect from all previous SATs. Sometimes it works (January 2005 Native American test the one I took :)) and sometimes it falls flat. What exactly is the pattern, we don't know. Unfortunately, the new sat is going to use brand new questions (since it is the "New" Sat) so it probably won't use any established pattern(s)

icyfire:
u stole my answer lol

SAT word list
http://www.testmasters.com/vocablist.pdf -->100%

2003 PSAT word list
http://www.testmasters.com/psat2003.pdf -->100%

2004 PSAT word list
http://www.testmasters.com/psat2004.pdf -->0%

IMPORTANT, the 2004 PSAT (Ner Version) makes Testmaster failed to predict the words; if you check the words on the new 2004 PSAT, none of them are on the test. Conclusion: Testmaster can no longer predict words on the new PSAT and SAT. Give up your hope for the March, Testmaster fail!!!!!!!

yep its a sad day in SAT shortcut land

yea they might have had some1 on ETS and they might have quit to work for the testmasters. Then the person may have told the testmasters the patern. i dont know how else they could know. and its surprising that CB doesn't change the tests after looking at the testmasters list..........THE 2004-2005 old SAT had A LOT of words from testmasters. TRUST ME!!! it saved me. but i didnt trust the list, so i did barron's 3500. after takin Jan test, i figured out that barrons was not necessary.

****guys, just dont trust the testmasters for the new SAT because ETS's patters have completely changed. so, if u get the list anyways, get rid of it. its useless. do kaplans words or even takesat.com 1000 words

i dont trust them

testmaster failed anyway; don't trust them

the instructors lied to me about many things.

he said he has no connection with college board, he just found a pattern of the word; that's is very BS

trust me, new SAT will not work on Testmaster

yea while the list was magic for the old sat, i don't think it will work on the march new sat. Don't bother with it but if you have extra time, it won't hurt to memorize it.

donnybrito,
ok, I did not take the course. There was this person (English05) who gave me that list. I was very thankful for it. But after reading all the other posts, the testmasters list was not even 5% accurate in the 2nd format of Jan 22. So, the list is just chance- if they hit the right pattern of the old tests that ETS use, they are correct. If they dont, they are wrong. So, its really just probability. now you tell me: Do you wish to take a big chance on a big test or do you want to abandon that plan?

I for one hope that there will not be any "Testmasters" vocab list for the new SAT in March. It's the people that put out the list and the people that seek them religiously that are causing the SAT to become so pointless. Nowadays a 1600 is just a pleasant surprise and many people don't even think it is that big a deal anymore. I am glad that there is a new SAT to test everyone's ability on the SAT without a cheat sheet like the testmasters vocab list.
