I am applying for the spring of 2016 as an incoming freshman with a major in physics. Texas Tech has offered me a spot in the honors college and a $16,000 scholarship.
If they offered you that I would say take it. I was applying to A&M and also to Tech’s Honor College. Tech offered me better financial aid & a job as a tutor. I took it. I do not regret it one bit. I am now looking forward to applying to grad at Rice, SMU, Baylor & A&M.
So you attended the TTU honors college as an undergrad? Can I your more detailed opinion on the difference between the HC and a normal student? The main draw for me is the increased availability of research opportunities, as I will be majoring is physics.
The Honors College goes out of their way to help you find research projects. I landed one my second semester here. They strongly encourage research and help pair students up with professors who will help them in their research.
