Texas Musical Theatre Workshop

I have reserved a spot at the Texas Musical Theatre Workshop in Austin, Texas this summer and I was wondering if any of you had any experience with the program or know anything about it. The space available is limited to the first 72 who register. Any information or experience you all have I would love to hear!

"The Texas Musical Theatre Workshop summer musical theatre intensive is a three-week residential program held during the last three weeks of June on the campus of The University of Texas at Austin. The intensive delivers studio and master classes in musical theatre skills taught by Broadway professionals and university faculty to high school students as they explore their potential for a career in musical theatre."

YES! My D attended summer of 2012. She loved it. That summer some of the workshops were led by Idina Menzel, Dave Clemmons. As did the Texas State faculty and staff. I can not remember everyone that was there. It’s a great program. Because there is not an audition, the talent is wide, however they seem to place kids in groups by talent. My daughter benefited greatly, the program prepared her well for the next summer’s Audition based competitive program and for college auditions.

Plus the campus is amazing!
