Texas Tech Honors vs. University of Minnesota

I got accepted into the honors program at Tech and plan to major in psychology and minor in biology and sign language (or just double major in psych and bio) if I go there. But, I also got accepted into UMN for neuroscience. I think I am leaning towards the honors program at tech, however I would like to hear opinions from people in that program as well as minnesota.

I feel that at tech I will have a better chance of standing out and getting research positions and other things like that, which will benefit me if I choose to move onto med school. I also like the benefits of priority class selection and smaller class sizes within a large university. Minnesota, on the other hand, I like baceause I know it is a very highly regarded school and I got accepted into one of the most difficult programs. I like that UMN also seems to have a wider variety of classes and opportunities due to the location.

If anyone could add in any input/ experiences, that would be greatly appreciated :-)) thank you!

Would not recommend going to lubbock even if you are an honors student. Go to minnesota the opportunities available for someone in the sciences are greater in the city.

That being said make sure wherever you go you are comfortable with the campus, the area, and financially capable of attending.
