when/where is the best time/place to buy your textbooks? also generally speaking, are students able to order stuff online and receive the packages at their dorms?

Best is the Amazon market Place.

I get books brand new for at least half the price.

Textbook sites:
http://www.bigwords.com/
http://www.isbn.nu/
http://www.campusi.com/
http://www.half.com/
http://www.amazon.com/

I 2nd half.com. It's great for both buying and selling books. Snagged a chem book there last year for $25 brand new (is $160 at other places) and sold it for $80 at my school's book fair. Managed to profit heh.

Would it be a mistake to buy a teacher's edition? I keep finding those for less money, but could there be some kind of catch? It says that it is the same as the student edition except that it includes additional notes and answers to practice questions.

Also, I wonder if the books labeled as new in the amazon marketplace include the CDs/multimedia that come with the new books. None of them specify if they include it or not, but I think that stuff like that is usually inside the book anyway...Has anyone ever had experience with ordering something like that?

I'm wondering the same thing, i contacted the seller for my mathbook (waiting for response)

dont buy a teachers edition if you plan on selling it to the bookstore. they wont buy it. i have a teachers edition precal book that i used when i was teaching myself precal that i cant seem to get rid of. i use it for a mousepad now when i am on my bed.

sell it thu ebay?
