That letter arrives, your hands start to sweat and as you grab it they shake. After weeks of checking the mailbox over and over its finally in there. As you rip open the letter or slowly cut it open with a letter opener. You dont know if you should read the whole thing or just scan it and look for the verdict. But it doesnt matter: "Congratulations _______ we would love to have you among our prestigious few at the __________"

How do you celebrate by going crazy, do you Post it on facebook and accidentally spell Harvard Harverd? Or do you smirk and wait till that perfect moment to reveal it to everyone and look at the sheer surprise on their face? How do you think youll react fellow memebers of CC?

Is this all theoretical? If so, I would wait until my next Ivy League acceptance and post something on FB like, “How do you chose between Harvard and Yale?” Just to get back at all those people who said I couldn’t get into them.

I’m going to open all my letters with my mom there.

If I get accepted to University of Missouri’s journalism school (top choice), I think I’ll keep an expressionless face, acting all depressed for like two seconds, to make them think I didn’t get in, then freak out and scream that I got accepted. Then I’ll call our close family friend, who graduated from Mizzou’s journalism school.

Nice, i was talking with one of my extremely close friends (that is a girl no not my girlfriend) and we agreed we’d tell each other, but we would probably keep it a secret from our parents, family, friends until maybe the end of the year (or around Christmas, because they announce it then too) when its announced to the whole student body besides pre-k-4th (our school is tiny) where the seniors go to college. We would both love to see the expressions on people faces.
