the 1001th Chance thread

If anyone has any insight, I'd appreciate it. I convinced my son to apply to SUNY Binghamton School of management- wondering if I did the right thing- SUNY Stony Brook was pursuing him but he doesn't want to study science. but because the business school at bing is good I thought it might be a good fit.

Well, I don't know if you heard, but our economy is about to collapse, therefore SUNY schools are tight this year. His grades are good and his ACT score is impressive, but just because of the sheer number of applications, its a toss up. Why Binghamton for business anyway, what about Geneseo?

Because Binghamton's School of Management is probably ranked pretty high...

[Q]Because Binghamton's School of Management is probably ranked pretty high... [/Q]

Right, yes, that's why

Very very good chance.

Almost 100% chance because of great GPA and ACT score.

I was defered with a 33 act/2200 sat for what its worth.

Miktau when did you send in your application? I got in with a 2200 SAT and 3.4UW GPA but I sent my app in early

i think you mean 1001st :P

I would throw in an application to Geneseo as well, but thats just me.

My son was accepted! Now we have to visit.

Did he do regular admissions?

yes.

We visited on Presidents day and had a great time. I think he is heavily considering it. Waiting to see if Maryland gives him any money, and if he gets accepted at any other schools. (He hasn't heard from any higher tier schools yet.)
