I live in California and because of major budget cuts it is almost impossible to graduate in four years from Cal Poly or any of the UCs. Does anyone know the the 4 year graduation rate for engineering majors at Tulane? I have received the Presidential Scholarship for 4years. There is no way I can pay the full tuition if I need 5 years to graduate.

I doubt that information is published as a separate number, but Dean Altiero might have that. I wouldn’t be shy about asking. I would say (and I bet he says the same) that getting all the classes you need to graduate in 4 years at Tulane Engineering is not a problem. As long as you do well and stay on track, I highly doubt that you would ever get shut out from a required class. There may be an elective class outside of engineering that you would like to take but don’t get into, but you can always take something else that fulfills the non-major requirements so that wouldn’t slow you up.

From what I understand Tulane engineering is small enough that you can always get all the classes you need for your major. Confirm that with Dean Altiero.

i agree with fallenchemist, i think you should be fine. another thing that is quite common at tulane is if you are unable to sign up for the class you wish to take (i.e. it is full) you can attend the class anyway for the first few days and let the professor know you are interested in being in the class. that way if anyone drops you can assume their spot, or the professor might make an exception and let you in above their class limit. a few of my friends did this for psych and science classes and it worked out fine.
