<p>West Point is looking for people who want to make the US Army their career. That said, the military obligation is 5 years active duty and 3 years reserve duty. When I visited the academy recently, they said that you should count on being called up from the reserves at least once-- this decision will carry you through till your 30 years old. Trust me, you'll still be considered young ;)</p>
