The Abuse by the University of Michigan

If we already sent in our semester grades when we got deferred, should we send them again or not?

It strikes me as odd that they would once again ask for senior fall grades. It may be for the students who were not deferred before being waitlisted. If they have them already, no need to send them again. If you're not sure they have them, go ahead and call, just to make sure. I'm guessing they just sent that to everyone to cover all their bases.

should i send in my grades, even though i've been waitlisted?

all I'm going to add to this after reading some posts is that I expect UM grads/students to be loyal and defend their school. It's pretty hard to be a shoe in at any top university, but a top 10%, 30+, student is consistantly admitted to Michigan from my HS. Good stats, worthy of many schools, and although anecdotal, my above average high school (frame of reference- we send a kid to an ivy/top private once-twice a year) doesn't seem to have incredible difficulty.

Also, schools have different needs each year, changing the level of difficulty.
