How does the application process works exactly?
Do the adcom go through all the apps once(to get an idea of the stats) and then decides who gets in the second time around or do they just read each app once(if they already know the strength of the application pool)? If the latter is true, would sending my app earlier(not rolling) benefit me? Thanks for your info.

anyone know this?

I believe it varies school by school but here is a general overview as I understand it. Step one, the regional admission counselors look over their covered areas applications and screen out definite rejections. Then, the rest go in front of the entire committee durinbg meetings and they make the final decisions. Sometimes they spend one second on definite acceptances and sometimes they can spend a long time debating whether an applicant should be admitted. Then they're done, yay.
