The Ann Arbor community/people?

Don’t people go to like Briarwood Mall or Birch Run to shop and have fun? I would be incredibly excited to do that!

Is that sarcasm? Briarwood is like every other suburban mall in America. Not the best AA has to offer.

@intparent Who are you? Why are you flaming me everywhere c’mon. Chill.

I am not sure how suburban malls are like but I like how AA has both what they have to offer on Main St and Kerrywood and yet is near to malls like Briarwood

There are certainly options for different people. Besides Birchrun, there are other outlets and shopping malls in shorter distance. Some people also like to take Megabus to Chicago.

  1. There are plenty of people who don’t party. (I’m a sophomore and don’t go out much). It’s kind of difficult to find other like-minded individuals, but if you join clubs or are religious, it’s much easier to meet people who don’t party.

  2. Lots of students have trouble making friends, and often talk about feeling lonely. I think this happens at any school though. Your friendships will be what you make em. If you can force yourself to be outgoing, you will have an easy time. If you don’t put yourself out there, it will be harder.

  3. Haven’t been to many cities. Take a trip to Ann Arbor and see yourself.

  4. I feel like although stereotypes would say UMich students are smart and studious, I’ve met a TON of really stupid people who don’t study at all. It’s VERY diverse. Depending on your major, clubs, etc, you will meet different types. Communications major? Expect to find lots of people who party a ton and aren’t very smart. Computer Science Engineering major? Plan to find a lot of extremely smart, hardworking people.

It all comes down to what you make of it.
